Tarocchino Montieri - Anima Antiqua

Ideato nel 1721 dal Diacono Montieri, si tratta di uno dei mazzi di Tarocchi più rari del mondo, poiché, per la maggior parte, vennero bruciati per ordine delle autorità ecclesiastiche. Il mazzo si attiene al numero ridotto di carte come nella variante Bolognese e non presenta illustrazioni, bensì segni ed annotazioni di Montieri sulla società, sulla politica e sulla geografia del XVIII secolo.

Created in 1721 by Dean Montieri, this is one of the rarest Tarot decks in the world, as most of them were burnt due to the influence of the Church. The deck follows the reduced number of cards as in the Bologna variant and does not feature illustrations on the cards, but rather indexes and notes by Montieri about XVIII century society, politics and geography.
